Friends of the Homewood Public Library Members Only Book Sale!
Friday, December 6, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the Friends Bookstore
Members of the Friends of the Homewood Public Library are invited to a holiday book sale on Friday, December 6, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The sale will be held in the Friends Bookstore. All books will be 50% off the already low prices of the Friends Bookstore. Additionally, the Friends will be selling special holiday and collectible titles for the gift-giving and holiday entertaining season. There will also be a silent auction of items donated by local businesses and residents. Wine, cheese, and other refreshments will be served. The sale is a “Friends only” event, but newcomers can EASILY become a member of the non-profit Friends of the Library at the sale by making the low $10 individual or $15 family annual donation, which is tax deductible.
Membership is open to all for an annual tax deductible contribution of:
$10.00 for individuals
About the Bookstore
The Friends Bookstore, located on the lower level of the library, is where money is generated to support the mission of the library. Stop by often to get great deals on used books, audiobooks, magazines, DVDs, and CDs! Everything is available from current best sellers to classics to collectibles.
Purpose of Friends
The Friends of Homewood Public Library is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to support the library. Friends makes it possible to provide services, that would not otherwise be possible, by raising funds and by providing volunteer labor. Their goals include providing needed equipment and books for the library and sponsoring programs such as the Summer Reading Programs.
