Borrowing and Renewing

About Our Collection

The library's collection encompasses over 94,000 books, magazines, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, and video games. In addition, we have access to thousands of items through the Public Libraries In Jefferson County (PLJC) with 40 public libraries. We serve over 48,000 patrons per month, both from the Homewood community and surrounding areas.

We have one of the largest DVD/Blu-ray collections in the PLJC. This includes Hollywood titles, classics and family movies. We also have a large collection of non-fiction DVDs including titles from the Discovery Channel and National Geographic along with how-to DVDs, travel DVDs and a wide assortment of other non-fiction titles.

We also circulate video games. Our games include Nintendo Wii and Game Cube, Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) and 3 (PS3), and Microsoft Xbox and Xbox 360.
