The Noticer by Andy Andrews

The Noticer by Andy Andrews

I decided to take a look at this book because of the title.  I know, I know, the very reason why a person should not choose to read a book.  However, after many years of thinking why others don’t see things the way I do, I thought, it might give me some insight.  I knew I was to read it about finding out that Andy Andrews lives in the Great State of Alabama and that I had some things in common with the main character.

All in all it is an easy read.  It is cataloged as non-fiction so it is hard to know whether or not the events in the book are true.  All I can say is that I think all of us would be a little bit better off if we had someone named “Jones” in our lives.  There are enough quickly told stories that most if not everyone could find themselves somewhere in there.  After all, don’t most of us identify in some way with a character (if there are characters) in what we read?  I know for me there were several stories that gave me a different perspective.  A perspective that now helps me even more to be able to walk in the shoes of others.

For me personally, the story where Willow Callaway buried her husband with a fork in his hand struck a chord.  I knew before, but now I know with a smile that the best is yet to come.

So I say read it and see if your perspective changes just a little.
