Take a Walk on the Wild Side!

It is becoming more common for wildlife and humans to interact with each other.  For some people, it is an opportunity to see the natural world, others find it a nuisance ...even dangerous.  Stories of pets being injured and/or killed by wild animals are prevalent even in our own "backyard".

If you are interested in finding out more about the wildlife in your neighborhood, drop by the Homwewood Library and listen to Learning to Live with Wild Neighbors with David DionneDavid Dionne is the Executive Director of Red Mountain State Park.  He will discuss the various types of animals we encounter in the Homewood area.  He will teach you how to identify your "visitors" and  how to create and environment that is safe for you and the wildlife around you.

This is a free lecture, and is a joint program between The Homewood Police, Homewood Public Library and Red Mountain Park.

Program will be Tuesday, May 20, 2014 from 6:30 - 7:30 pm.  This event will be held in the Large Auditorium.
