What do poetry and yoga have in common? A call to pay attention. An exploration of self. An invitation to notice.
Yoga teacher and librarian Marie Blair brings movement and words together during National Poetry Month. No experience with either yoga or poetry is necessary, and adults of all ages are welcome. It is low-impact and designed with seniors in mind. Bring your curiosity. Wear comfortable clothes. Come prepared to listen and discuss poetry followed by exploring gentle movement. Participants will receive handouts of poems by Rumi, Mary Oliver, and Wendell Berry, among others. No registration required, but please bring your own mat.
