2021 marks the 80th anniversary of one of the most devastating days in American history: the bombing of Pearl Harbor. The Homewood Public Library is partnering with the U.S. Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) to highlight how the government is working on identifying the MIA veterans from Pearl Harbor. Carrie LeGarde, a forensic anthropologist and USS Oklahoma Project Lead, will discuss how they have been able to identify more than 350 Unknowns from December 7, 1941. Register online for Zoom link.
