MedlinePlus Authoritative information from the National Library of Medicine (NLM), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and others. Information about drugs, an illustrated medical encyclopedia, interactive patient tutorials, and latest health news.  

Languages and Literature

Literature Resource Center Full-text scholarly articles, poems and short stories, reviews of books of all sorts, substantive biographical essays, links to editorially selected websites, and more. AVL
Live Lingua language courses The FSI (Foreign Service Institute) language courses are arguably the best free language courses available anywhere. The FSI language courses cover over 40 languages from the most spoken in the world to some lesser known ones.  
Peace Corps language courses There are now hundreds of books and audios for almost 100 languages on this page. The U.S. Peace Corps has been sending volunteers from the United States to countries all over the world for over 50 years.  
Livemocha language learning Social language learning with a Facebook-like component. Complete a structured lesson and submit your own writing and audio recordings to other users for feedback.
